Position Summary





Our Wabanaki Home Visiting Data and Evaluation Coordinator is responsible for supporting the daily operation of our T-MIECHV programs funded through the Administration for Children and Families. The position collaborates with leadership, community partners, and program staff to monitor and evaluate the development and implementation of community driven and culturally informed home visiting services to improve outcomes for caregivers and their children. The position also supports related efforts within the Division of Our Future Generations. The program focuses on efforts to address maternal health, child development and early learning, integrated family support, child abuse and neglect prevention, and substance use prevention and intervention.

Duties and Responsibilities




Supports the Wabanaki Families and Our Future Generations Divisions day-to-day program data activities to ensure effective data collection, entry, and storage.




Lead the implementation of all data activities outlined in the program's Tribal MIECHV Implementation Plan Create data collection tools for program staff to obtain information needed for program operations. Create and document data collection, entry, and storage protocols to ensure all program data activities are consistent. Create data security plans to ensure measures are in place for safeguarding all data collected through program activities. Interpret, synthesize, and compile data using scientific, statistical, and traditional techniques as needed for program operations. Train staff on program data collection, entry, storage, and security protocols to ensure all staff understand program data processes. Perform regular data collection and entry quality checks to monitor data accuracy and completeness. Monitor data storage to ensure all incoming data is securely and properly stored in accordance with program policies. Maintain tribal data sovereignty by incorporating ownership, control, access, and possession (OCAP) principles into all program data activities. Perform other data and evaluation duties as assigned within the Division of Our Future Generations.



Manage and Maintain the Wabanaki Families case management software system, Care4.




Responsible for being the primary contact with the vendor to ensure optimal configuration and support. Lead efforts to identify, implement, and evaluate system changes to ensure the software functions effectively. Work with the vendor to modify database structures to meet organizational needs. Manage staff permissions to ensure individuals have appropriate system access based on their role. Organize staff training with the vendor as needed to ensure staff have sufficient knowledge of the data system. Provide additional training on the data system to ensure staff understand program-specific data system processes. Help staff experiencing issues with the data system by identifying and resolving problems. Create and extract custom reports from the system for reporting and quality assurance activities. Perform other duties as needed to ensure the system is operating effectively.



Leads work to complete required reporting program components including, but not limited to, reports for the Federal Government and Family Spirit Program.




Lead efforts to create a plan for collecting the data required for reporting. Interpret, synthesize, and compile data using scientific, statistical, and traditional techniques to obtain the information needed for reporting. Prepare reporting documents by writing, editing, and compiling all required reporting information. Perform additional reporting duties as assigned within the Future Generations Division.



Leads quality assurance (QA) and fidelity monitoring efforts to monitor the effectiveness of program operations.




Work with the Program Manager to establish QA and fidelity monitoring targets. Create a QA and fidelity monitoring plan

to ensure procedures are in place for evaluating and improving program operations.
Interpret, synthesize, and compile data using scientific or statistical techniques to obtain the information needed for QA and fidelity monitoring efforts. Prepare QA and fidelity monitoring reports for staff to report on the status of meeting defined targets. Engage program staff and other stakeholders in QA and fidelity monitoring process by getting feedback on targets and monitoring plans.



Manage Wabanaki Families participation in research activities.




Oversee the submission of any necessary documents required for research approval. Maintain implementation of research activities according to established timelines. Train program staff and other participating stakeholders on appropriate research procedures to ensure compliance with related regulations. Engage community members and other relevant stakeholders in the research process using community based participatory research principles. Analyze data collected through research activities, using scientific, statistical, and traditional evaluation framework principles. Produce research reports, data summaries, and other dissemination products as needed.





Skills and Qualifications Required





Experience with program evaluation. Experience with conducting mixed methods research and/or evaluations, quality assurance monitoring, analyzing data, and producing reports. Experience with planning and/or conducting data dissemination activities. Experience or strong interest in learning and utilizing Indigenous research methodologies. An understanding of data sovereignty and its importance among Indigenous communities. Experience training staff on data collection and entry processes. Demonstrated proficiency with data analysis and visualization tools (I.e., Excel, Power BI, R, SPSS). Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently without supervision. Ability to problem solve, think critically, and manage multiple projects at once. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Experience with Tribal and/or Federal data reporting is a plus. Experience with Tribal home visiting or other home visiting programs is a plus.
Must pass criminal background check.
