We are seeking dedicated Registered Nurses who have exceptional IV access, infusion, and customer service skills. The ideal nurse is detail oriented, organized, and passionate about the health and well-being of their patients. We have part time and per diem openings.
Required Qualifications:
Nursing Diploma or Associates Degree in Nursing
1 year of IV infusion related experience
Registered Nurse with valid Connecticut license
Experienced in the care of peripheral lines
Possess strong peripheral IV start skills
Current valid driver's license and auto insurance
Current valid Basic CPR - by start date
Up to date vaccinations
Willingness to travel within the state of Connecticut
Preferred Qualifications:
Home infusion experience
Port-a-cath experience
PICC/ central line care experience
The Home Infusion Registered Nurse is responsible for the positive and effective representation of home infusion pharmacy services and is responsible for providing quality care for patients requiring intravenous therapy in the home or alternative setting.
Home Infusion RNs responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
The provision of infusion nursing services in patient homes and alternative settings including intravenous, subcutaneous, and other infusion medication administration for pharmacy patients.
Coordination of patient care activities and communication with other disciplines including the pharmacist, physician, and nursing agency personnel.
Teaching patients and their families about the infusion plan of care (including self-administration when applicable).
Adherence to standards and infection control measures for home care nursing and IV nursing services.
The positions open are for part time or per diem W-2 employees. Apply either for the part time hours position (minimum 20 to 28 hours per week), or for the per diem position (flexible hours - you set your schedule).
Work Location
The job requires some in-state travel within the state of Connecticut to provide care in patient homes, and we provide travel time reimbursement. We have patients located throughout the state of Connecticut, and and we are looking to hire nurses from all areas of the state.
