Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as a Home Health Aide (HHA) and make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals needing assistance in their daily activities! In this rewarding role, you'll provide compassionate care and support to patients in their homes, ensuring they maintain their dignity and independence. You will be instrumental in enhancing their quality of life through personalized care plans tailored to each individual's needs.

What you'll do

Assist patients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation. Monitor and document vital signs, ensuring any changes are communicated promptly to healthcare professionals. Provide companionship and emotional support, fostering a positive environment for patients. Administer medications as prescribed while adhering to safety protocols and HIPAA regulations. Utilize Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for accurate documentation of patient care and progress. Assist with mobility using equipment such as Hoyer lifts, ensuring patient safety at all times. Maintain cleanliness in the patient's living space, including laundry and light housekeeping tasks. Support patients with specialized needs, including Alzheimer's care, dementia care, hospice care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

Experience

Previous experience in home health or caregiving roles is highly desirable. Familiarity with medical terminology and basic nursing skills is essential for effective communication and care delivery. Experience working with EHR systems to maintain accurate medical documentation is preferred. Certification in CPR is required to ensure patient safety during emergencies. Knowledge of catheter care and medication administration is a plus. A background in long-term care or assisted living environments will enhance your ability to provide exceptional service.
