We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidates will have experience in patient care, assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), and a strong understanding of medical terminology. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, ensuring they receive the care and assistance they need in a comfortable environment.
Responsibilities
Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
Assist with meal preparation and feeding as needed, ensuring nutritional needs are met.
Monitor and document vital signs, reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team.
Support clients with mobility and transfers using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
Administer medications as prescribed and assist with medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being, including memory care for those with Alzheimer's or dementia.
Perform light housekeeping duties such as cleaning, laundry, and cooking to maintain a safe and healthy living environment.
Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the overall quality of life for clients.
Maintain accurate records of services provided and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare professionals.
Qualifications
Previous experience in home health, assisted living, nursing homes, or long-term care settings is preferred.
Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems for medical documentation is a plus.
Knowledge of patient observation techniques and vital sign monitoring is essential.
CPR certification is required; additional training in catheter care or hospice care is beneficial.
Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or special needs is an advantage.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently while following care plans.
