Job Title: Home Delivery Driver (Box Truck)

Job Summary

We are seeking a reliable and customer-focused Home Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will operate a non-CDL box truck (typically 16-26 ft with lift gate) to deliver goods such as furniture, appliances, or other home products directly to customers' residences. You will be responsible for safe driving, loading/unloading using a lift gate and pallet jack, and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. This is a physically demanding position that requires attention to safety, punctuality, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a box truck to transport and deliver products to customer homes on scheduled routes. Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure the truck is in good working condition. Load and unload cargo using the truck's lift gate, electric or manual pallet jack, hand trucks, or dollies. Maneuver palletized or individual items into customers' homes, which may involve navigating stairs, tight spaces, or thresholds. Verify delivery contents against orders, obtain customer signatures, and handle any basic assembly or placement as needed. Provide courteous and professional customer service, including communicating delivery status and addressing basic customer inquiries. Maintain accurate delivery records, including electronic logs, paperwork, and any required reports. Adhere to all traffic laws, DOT regulations (if applicable), and company safety policies. Report any vehicle maintenance issues or delivery discrepancies promptly.
Requirements and Qualifications

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (no major violations in the past 3-5 years). No Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required; experience driving box trucks preferred. At least 1-2 years of delivery driving experience, ideally with box trucks or similar vehicles. Proven ability to safely operate lift gates and pallet jacks (training provided if needed). Strong physical stamina: Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry items weighing 50-100+ pounds (often with assistance from equipment or a helper). Excellent navigation skills and familiarity with GPS/route planning apps. Outstanding customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor. Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, or overtime as needed. High school diploma or equivalent. Must pass a background check, drug screen, and DOT physical (if applicable).
Physical Demands

Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, climbing stairs, and maneuvering in residential settings. Regular use of material handling equipment in varying weather conditions. Ability to handle repetitive lifting and physical exertion throughout the shift.
