Job Summary



The Hollow Metal Service & Project Coordinator is a critical operational role responsible for managing the entire lifecycle of service, repair, and small installation jobs involving hollow metal doors and frames. This person acts as the central hub, ensuring all work is accurately estimated, efficiently scheduled, and completed to the highest standards of quality by coordinating both in-house technical staff and external sub-contractors.

Key Responsibilities

1. Coordination & Resource Management



Sub-Contractor Coordination:

Act as the primary liaison with external sub-contractors, managing work assignments, coordinating site access, negotiating scope, and overseeing their performance to ensure timely and quality completion of contracted jobs.

Internal Technical Team Management:

Dispatch, schedule, and manage the workload of in-house company technicians for repairs, service calls, and small installation projects, optimizing their routes and efficiency.

Materials & Logistics:

Ensure all necessary materials, hardware, and equipment are accurately specified, ordered, and delivered to the job site to prevent delays.

2. Estimating & Analysis



Estimating:

Prepare detailed, accurate, and competitive cost estimates for all service and repair work, ensuring profitability while meeting client specifications and timelines.

Work Analysis:

Track, monitor, and analyze key job performance metrics, including time-to-completion, labor hours, material cost variances, and overall job profitability. Utilize data to recommend and implement operational improvements.

3. Planning & Administration



Scheduling:

Develop and manage comprehensive job schedules and timelines, proactively communicating any changes or potential conflicts to clients, technicians, and sub-contractors.

Project Documentation:

Maintain meticulous records of all service and repair work, including estimates, change orders, contracts, work orders, and completion documentation.

Qualifications



Proven experience in project coordination, service management, or a related operational role within the construction or commercial hardware industry. Strong functional knowledge of

hollow metal doors, frames, and commercial door hardware

is highly preferred. Demonstrated ability to prepare accurate job cost estimates and perform post-job financial analysis. Exceptional organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills, with a strong emphasis on scheduling and logistics. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, necessary for managing client relationships, technical teams, and sub-contractors.
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
