Holistic Veterinary Receptionist

Balance Veterinary Care is a small and progressive holistic veterinary clinic residing in South Eugene. We provide cutting edge service to our clients and we are seeking a Holistic Veterinary Receptionist that shares in our scope. An excellent candidate for this position is highly motivated, outgoing, up-tone and bright, and has a mission to provide exceptional service. This candidate has an infectious smile, finds multitasking easy and motivating and takes action in bringing their position to the next level. Balance Vet Care encourages all employees to become creative about helping the business grow. For example, creating a "Most Improved Pet of the Month" by tracking, contacting and taking photos. There is room for growth at Balance Vet Care. This position can expand with a person that is self motivated, task oriented and creative within Dr. Wright's long term vision. This vision includes expanding service to the animals of our community and their people, by implementing a full service veterinary hospital and also through furthering education to the public and veterinary community. Attention to detail, time management, self motivation, proper grammar, clear and concise communications, organization, thoroughness, and cleanliness are examples of skills that would make one successful in this position. Presentation is important as the receptionist is the first and last person our customers encounter. Balance Vet Care practices casual business attire. The ideal candidate for this position has a strong passion for service, practices a holistic lifestyle with a nutritional focus and approach to life for themselves, their pets and community.

Roles & Responsibilities:

Provide excellent customer service Answering phones with professional phone etiquette Schedule appointments - manage and maintain a full schedule Check-out patients, schedule follow-up appointments and collect payments Responding to voice messages, emails, text messages and faxes within the business day Process order requests for food and supplements Making copies and sending faxes for staff Handling problems, ie: difficult clients, paper jam in copier, vacuum clogged, WiFi reset, an appointment runs over, etc... Efficiently learn and use electronic medical software (EVET) to: register patients/pets in computer software, data entry, schedule appointments, process payments, generate reports and enter stats. Provide client education as trained by Dr. Wright Adapt to small office tasks as needed Basic office and exam room cleaning and tidying Prioritize to timely complete tasks and projects

Receptionist/Administrative Assistant - 2 years Veterinary Clinic Receptionist/Administrative Assistant - 1 year EVET knowledge is helpful but not required. EVET is our scheduling and patient database software. Google Sheets

Requirements:

Excellent communication skills and a bright, happy, outgoing attitude are a must. Love, appreciation and the desire to help animals (and their people). Clear and concise verbal, written, and electronic communication skills. Knowledge of basic computer operation and word processing. Knowledge of basic office equipment, ie: copier, fax, phone, etc... High School Diploma or equivalent Must be willing and able to complete tasks effectively in a busy and sometimes distracting environment; ability to prioritize is essential. Able to lift and move 45 pounds with ease. Able to clean their work station, the exam room between clients and the clinic in general.
This position offers 25 - 38 hrs per week. Pay is dependent on experience and averages between $18 - $21 per hour plus monthly bonuses. Team members also receive pet care benefits, paid time off, products at cost and benefit from our referral program.
