Job Description

Looking for a on call (8-16 hours a week) food runner/in room dining to join our team here at SERA Honolulu!

Job Duties:

Read and process food tickets, ensuring the correct items are on each plate and that they meet presentation standards. Control flow of the line and communicate with kitchen when coursed items need to be fired Obtain detailed knowledge of all the menu items for all outlets Add garnishes, check for proper plating, and ensure dishes are free from smudges or spills before leaving the kitchen. Relay all necessary information between the kitchen and waitstaff, including special requests and ingredient availability. Inspect food for proper presentation and plating before serving to guests Keep the kitchen and service areas, including the expo station, clean, organized, and properly stocked. Utilizing table & seat numbers to ensure food is delivered to the correct guests. Serve the dish, announce what the dish is, & briefly describe it to the guests Assist with collecting empty dishes and silverware on the way back to the kitchen Perform all opening and closing side duties assigned and ensure that the other runners have completed theirs. Answer in room dining calls to take orders and input into POS system. Perform all other job related duties as assigned Pick up In Room Dining phone and take orders.
Communication Demands:

Ability to speak, read and write proficiently in the English language.
Working Conditions:

Food and Beverage outlets. Kitchen noises; people talking in a loud voice; pots, pans, cleaning equipment operating.
Other Duties:

Oversee the cleanliness and maintenance of the dining room and expo station
Mental and Physical Demands:

Ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment. Ability to manage stressful and challenging situations. Ability to stand and walk in food and beverage outlets. Lift and carry up to 50lbs.
Minimum Qualification Requirements:

Department of Health TB clearance. Previously related work experience is preferred.
Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour
