Roy's Market in Peterborough, New Hampshire is looking for someone to help cut meat for our special orders the week before Christmas: Wednesday, December 17th - 24th. Exact hours depend on candidate's availability. $20 - 25 per hour for a qualified candidate, dependent on previous experience.

Job Qualifications

Must be available to work the week of December 17th - 24th, 2025. Excellent cutting skills with the ability to break products down into sub-primal and retail cuts. Previous profession experience in cutting meat. Meticulous attention to detail and cleanliness. Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness. Strong communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team. Excellent time management and organization skills. Ability to follow directions and procedures. Ability to deliver information in a clear and respectable manner. Knowledge of established procedures including Weights and Measures, health and sanitation, and safe work practices. Ability to multitask & work efficiently.

Job Responsibilities

Cut and wrap specialty meat products. Follow proper procedures for prepping and storing products. Immediately report safety hazards and violations. Perform other duties as assigned by managers as required. Work all scheduled shifts.

Physical Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 4-8 hours. Ability to walk up and down stairs. Work requires the following motions: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling, bending, twisting, squatting and reaching. Ability to handle knives and other cutting equipment. Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, bandsaw, and meat grinder. Exposure OK to FDA approved cleaning chemicals. Exposure OK to temperatures less than 32 degrees farenheit (freezing). Ability to arrive at work on time, appropriately groomed, dressed and ready to work.

Pay Range

Between $20 - 25 per hour for a qualified candidate, dependent on previous experience.

This is a temporary job for the week of December 17th - 24th, 2025. Candidate must be available to work the week of December 17th - 24th, 2025, between 4 - 8 hours a day depending on candidates availability.
