Scheduled Weekly Hours (Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.)

Full-time: 40 hours per week Part-time: 24-30 hours per week

Additional Requirements

Full-time and Part-time: Work requires willingness to be flexible in scheduling. Workday may start before or end after regular scheduled hours as required to meet customers' needs. Full-time: Interpreter occasionally shares on-call responsibilities during nights, weekends, and holidays.

Primary Responsibilities:

Interpreting

Facilitate effective communication between the company's customers and their limited English proficient clients Adhere to healthcare interpreter code of ethics and company standards of practice and service

Build a positive team environment and professional relationships with all internal and external customers

Administrative Duties

Internal duties as required to complete both company and department tasks

Required Skills

Advanced high proficiency in language pairs as described by the ATCFL speaking proficiency guidelines and ratings Be able to demonstrate the ability to complete the company's proprietary interpreter training program

or

have completed another qualified interpreter training program Capable of meeting the learning objectives in a specified length of time Effective time management skills Effective communication skills Flexibility Effective self-management Ability to work within a diverse environment

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent

Knowledge Requirements

US healthcare system Broad understanding of both cultures and ability to convey cultural concepts to others Healthcare terminology and concepts Professional business etiquette

Starting Compensation:

Full-time: $37,500 annual + benefits + mileage reimbursement Part-time: $18 per hour + mileage reimbursement * Full-time and Part-time: Company-paid training. Pay commensurate with prior experience and qualifications specific for the role.
