Job Summary:
We are looking for a Historical Landscape Architect to join our team and oversee the planning and development of external spaces for our clients. This position will assist with Historic Preservation/Cultural Resources services for the US Forest Service Region 9. All History, Archaeology, and Architectural History personnel shall meet the professional qualifications standards found in the Secretary of the Interior\'s Professional Qualifications Standards and Guidelines for Archaeology and Historic Preservation per FSM 2360.92.
Classification: Full-time Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities but may serve as a coach and mentor for other instructors.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Updates publications and materials to adhere to standards and current operational needs.
  • Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the product and the documentation requirements.
  • Produce high-quality documentation that meets applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
  • Write easy-to-understand user interface text, online help and developer guides.
  • Create tutorials to help end-users use a variety of applications.
  • Analyze existing and potential content, focusing on reuse and single-sourcing opportunities.
  • Create and maintain the information architecture.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Required: Bachelors Degree.
  • Required: Must submit three (3) professional letters of reference.
  • Required: Must possess a valid state driver\xe2\x80\x99s license throughout the term of this contract.

Physical Requirements:
  • Able to frequently lift at least 15 lbs., reach, pull, push, bend, stoop, and kneel.
  • Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing/walking.

Pre-employment Requirements: This position may be contingent upon passing a security clearance, criminal background check (state and federal), drug screen, Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) review, education verification, employment verification, and/or credit check after acceptance of an offer and prior to beginning work, due to the nature of the services Chloeta provides and the responsibilities of this position.
Drug and Alcohol Testing: To enforce Chloeta\xe2\x80\x99s Drug and Alcohol Testing Policy, an employee or candidate could be subject to undergoing a drug screen and/or alcohol testing at the beginning of employment, as well as after commencement of employment where there is reasonable suspicion of intoxication, or following an automobile or other accident, or as part of a company or facility-wide random drug screen process.
Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA): Under the FCRA, Chloeta may request a credit check during the onboarding process. A written authorization form will be required before obtaining credit records.
Emergency Response: Every Chloeta employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official Duty Station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee\'s official Position Description (PD). Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.
