What you will do:

As a High Security Technician specializing in security and fencing systems, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of high-security perimeter fencing, access control systems, intrusion detection systems, and other security equipment. Working closely with clients, project managers, and engineering teams, you will ensure that security installations are completed safely, accurately, and in compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This position requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering reliable and effective security solutions. Pay is $18 - $40 per hour with unlimited overtime.



In this role, you will:



Install, configure, and program high-security fencing systems, including electronic perimeter sensors, fiber-optic detection systems, and microwave barriers, according to project specifications and manufacturer guidelines.

Install and integrate access control systems, including card readers, biometric readers, keypads, and intercoms, to control entry and exit points and restrict access to sensitive areas.

Install and calibrate intrusion detection systems, including motion sensors, glass-break detectors, and CCTV cameras, to monitor and detect unauthorized activity or security breaches.

Conduct site surveys and assessments to evaluate security requirements, assess site conditions, and identify potential challenges or opportunities for security enhancements.

Coordinate with clients, project managers, and subcontractors to schedule installations, coordinate deliveries, and ensure timely completion of security projects.

Test and troubleshoot security systems to identify and resolve issues, including wiring problems, equipment malfunctions, and programming errors.

Provide training and technical support to clients and end-users on the operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of security systems and equipment.

Maintain accurate records of installation activities, including equipment lists, as-built drawings, test results, and service reports.

Adhere to safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to industry safety standards.

Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in security and fencing systems to provide innovative solutions and recommendations to clients.

What we need:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in electronics, security systems, or related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years of experience in the installation and maintenance of security and fencing systems, with a focus on high-security applications. Proficiency in the installation, programming, and troubleshooting of electronic security systems, including fencing sensors, access control systems, and intrusion detection systems. Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to security and fencing systems, including UL 634, UL 294, and ASTM F2781. Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients, colleagues, and subcontractors. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects on time and within budget. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to project sites and client locations as needed.
