Hillcrest High School Baseball - Junior Varsity / Freshman Coaching Positions

Hillcrest High School Baseball is seeking

highly motivated and committed coaches

to join our staff as

Junior Varsity

and

Freshman Baseball Coaches

. We are looking for individuals who are passionate about player development, character building, and contributing to the long-term success of the Hillcrest Knights Baseball Program.

The ideal candidates will work closely with the Varsity Head Coach and staff to implement the program's developmental system, reinforce core values, and prepare athletes to compete at the next level.

Responsibilities

Plan and run high-quality practices that align with the program's developmental goals and varsity systems. Teach and reinforce fundamental skills including hitting, pitching, fielding, baserunning, and game awareness. Provide consistent instruction, feedback, and encouragement to help players grow both on and off the field. Manage in-game decisions, lineups, and strategy with a development-first mindset. Support player accountability, sportsmanship, and team culture. Communicate effectively with players, parents, and varsity staff. Ensure all athletes follow district, program, and safety protocols. Assist with offseason development opportunities when available (optional but preferred).

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required. Prior coaching or competitive playing experience preferred. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to teach fundamentals with patience, positivity, and clarity. Organized, reliable, and capable of managing a team environment. Knowledge of baseball rules, strategies, and modern player-development concepts. Ability to model and promote integrity, discipline, and a team-first attitude.
