Job Summary While the services of the identified College and Career Coaches will be available to any Arkansan, the College and Career Coaches will specifically target those students and adults who are most in need of career planning. One of the specific targets will be students and adults from low-income backgrounds (TANF or TANF eligible families). The College and Career Coach will identify these students and adults through middle/high schools, workforce services centers and/or other public entities traditionally serving students and adults and encourage them to aspire to postsecondary education, workforce training and/or apprenticeships as the means to a career that will afford economic self-sufficiency. Students and adults who will be specifically targeted will also include Career Pathways participants, TANF and TANF eligible students and adults, and adults who are unemployed or who face job loss if they cannot acquire the skills to transition from one career to another. Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree. Experience in higher education or a public school environment is preferred.
- Hold a Career Development Facilitator\xe2\x80\x99s (CDF) Certification or eligible to obtain with one year of hire
- Must be highly motivated and able to work with minimal direct supervision. Excellent computer skills with a strong background in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Must have excellent interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively orally, in writing and in public presentation settings.
