The Environmental Charter School is seeking a highly dedicated and motivated individual for the 2025-26 season. Key Responsibilities
Supports head coach
Perform administrative duties as assigned by head coach
Work effectively with students of differing ages, abilities, and backgrounds
Share responsibility with head coach for assembling their volunteer coaching staff
Attends all practices and all games
High Report progress of cheerleading program to head coach
Collaborate with head coach to organize and supervise a total sports program
Manage all on site documentation and injury reports
Assign and collect uniforms, set up and take down practices and meets
Requirements and Norms:
Position is from November 1, 2024 - February 15, 2026 with full commitment to the season
Practices start November 1.
2- 3 Practices before the start of season
Coach 2 hours per practice with pre and post responsibilities
Requires 90 minute practice for athletes
2 - 3 practices a week, 7 home basketball games
Practice cancellations would require approval by the Athletic Director
Assist A.D. in hosting end of season banquet
Partner with Boosters as directed by A.D.
Attend coaches meetings as directed by A.D.
Complete end of season program evaluation and discuss program.
Assist with fundraising
EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND WORK EXPERIENCE
High School diploma or equivalent
Previous coaching experience in high school, scholastic, and/or club cheerleading
Substantial knowledge of the technical aspects of the sport and, at the same time, must continue to examine new theories and procedures pertinent to the field.
Possesses techniques and methods of student supervision and behavior management
COMPENSATION
$1,500 per season paid at the end of the season

Commonwealth of PA Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release (Act 168) and Mandated Reporter Training also will be required.
