POSITION TITLE: Assistant Cheer Coach

GRADES: 9-12

STATUS: Seasonal

Position Description:

Las Americas ASPIRA Academy is seeking a highly qualified, enthusiastic individual to serve as our Assistant Cheer Coach.

Responsibilities:

Work with the Principal, Athletic Director, players and parents to conduct the season. Serve as an advocate and role model for the academic, ethical, and moral development of students. Managing resources and equipment. Demonstrate cooperation with other sports team coaches and support all sports programs. Planning and managing training sessions. Building a positive, supportive and inclusive team environment that provides for athletic enjoyment, success and challenge. Ensuring the health and safety of the athletes coached. Follow all policies & expectations of the ASPIRA Athletics program.

Qualifications:

Prior high school cheer coaching experience preferred. Understand the characteristics and needs of the athletes coached. Understand the components of a training session. Appropriate communication, management and coaching skills for the athletes coached.
