Non-Personal Scientific and Engineering Support Services at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
We are seeking an experienced Help Desk - Computer Operator IV to provide advanced technical support within our IT support team. This role involves managing computer systems, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and ensuring the smooth operation of IT infrastructure across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, extensive knowledge of operating systems, network management, and customer service to deliver exceptional support to end-users and maintain optimal system performance.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Help Desk Computer Operator IV:
Adapts to a variety of nonstandard problems that require extensive operator intervention (e.g. frequent introduction of new programs, applications, or procedures). In response to the computer output instructions or errors conditions, this worker chooses or devises a course of action from among several alternative and alters or deviates from standard procedures if standard procedures do not provide a solution (e.g. reassigning equipment in order to work around faulty equipment or transfer channels); then refers problems if necessary. Typically, completed work is submitted to users without supervisory review.

Help Desk Tier I to Tier II troubleshooting skills
to diagnose and resolve user requests through an internal ticketing system and by phone.
Basic to intermediate
Windows 11
administration knowledge to include Active Directory Users and Computers, DHCP, Microsoft Management Console, Remote Support applications and others.
Must have
Security + Certification
Proficient troubleshooting skills for Microsoft Office Suite.
Software and hardware troubleshooting skills.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts to assist other teams with physical and logical connectivity issues.
Applicant will provide Video Teleconferencing Support to setup meetings and standby support to promptly resolve technical issues that arise during a call.
Must have strong communication skills.
Responsible for addressing and resolving inquiries, problems, and issues efficiently and promptly and deliver exceptional support to end-users and maintain optimal system performance.

High School Diploma or equivalent and four (4) or more work-years equivalent preferred
