Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Equipment Operator to join our construction and heavy machinery team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating a variety of construction equipment and possess mechanical knowledge to ensure safe and efficient project execution. This role involves operating machinery such as bulldozers, loaders, excavators, and trucks, contributing to the successful completion of construction projects. Candidates with a background in construction site work and commercial driving are highly preferred. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects requiring precision and expertise in heavy equipment operation.

Responsibilities

Operate heavy machinery including dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction equipment with safety and efficiency. Manage various trucks such as front loader trucks, dump trucks, water trucks, and roll-off trucks for material transportation. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance. Assist with site preparation, grading, excavation, and material handling tasks. Follow all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment on-site. Collaborate with team members to coordinate operations and meet project deadlines. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.

Experience

Proven experience operating heavy construction machinery such as bulldozers (dozer), loaders (front loader truck), backhoes, excavators, and tankers. Construction site experience is highly desirable. Mechanical knowledge related to heavy equipment maintenance and troubleshooting. Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for operating trucks like dump trucks, water trucks, or tanker vehicles. Experience with concrete mixers and farm machinery is a plus. Familiarity with Caterpillar equipment or similar brands is advantageous. Prior experience working on large-scale construction projects or industrial sites is preferred. This position requires a dedicated professional capable of handling demanding tasks while maintaining safety standards across diverse operational environments.
Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
