Duties

Operate a wide range of heavy equipment including bulldozers (dozers), loaders, backhoes, excavators, and other construction machinery to perform grading, digging, lifting, and material handling tasks. Manage the operation of equipment to ensure timely delivery of materials on-site. Assist with site preparation by leveling ground with dozers and loaders, setting foundations for structures, and maintaining site safety standards. Conduct routine inspections of equipment before use to identify maintenance needs or safety issues; report any malfunctions promptly. Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a secure work environment for yourself and colleagues. Collaborate with project managers and crew members to coordinate equipment usage efficiently across different phases of construction projects. Maintain accurate logs of equipment operation hours, maintenance activities, and site activities for reporting purposes.

Qualifications

Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment such as dozers, loaders, backhoes, excavators, and similar machinery on active construction sites. Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic troubleshooting and routine maintenance on equipment. Familiarity with construction site safety standards and practices; ability to adhere strictly to safety protocols at all times. Strong understanding of construction processes and ability to follow detailed instructions accurately. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining focus on safety and productivity. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and supervisors effectively. Physical stamina and strength necessary for operating heavy machinery over extended periods.
