Summary
The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.

\xc2\xb7 Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures using the appropriate tools and equipment for the task.

\xc2\xb7 Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA regulations for safe working procedures.

\xc2\xb7 Report any problems to your manager.

\xc2\xb7 Follow directions of manager as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific duty.

\xc2\xb7 Analyze malfunctions and repairs, rebuild and maintain equipment including heavy construction equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects.

\xc2\xb7 Dismantle and reassemble equipment, using hoists as well as hand power tools.

\xc2\xb7 Examine parts for damage or excessive wear, using micrometers and gauges.

\xc2\xb7 Replace defective engines and sub-assemblies, such as transmissions, electric motors, drums, seals, hydraulic pumps, valves, pistons, rods, gears, etc.

\xc2\xb7 Test overhauled equipment to ensure operating efficiency (must be able to operate all equipment).

\xc2\xb7 Weld broken parts and structural members.

\xc2\xb7 May direct workers engaged in cleaning parts and assisting with assembly and disassembly of equipment.

\xc2\xb7 Perform record keeping of time and parts used on the appropriate forms.

\xc2\xb7 Plan work procedures and / or possible solutions such as part redesign, substitution of material or parts and rearrangement of parts or sub-assemblies.

\xc2\xb7 Perform general cleaning of work areas and maintenance areas.

\xc2\xb7 Assist other maintenance department staff in performing the duties necessary to assure the efficiency of operations of equipment / vehicles.

\xc2\xb7 CDL Preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Lift, carry and hold materials, tools and supplies.

\xc2\xb7 Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Requirements
The ideal candidate will:

\xc2\xb7 Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.

\xc2\xb7 Pass a pre-employment \xe2\x80\x9cFit for Work\xe2\x80\x9d physical.

\xc2\xb7 Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.

\xc2\xb7 Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

\xc2\xb7 Be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

\xc2\xb7 Be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

\xc2\xb7 Report to work at the designated start time.

\xc2\xb7 Be able to work overtime when required.

\xc2\xb7 Be willing to work outdoors in extreme temperatures, both hot and cold.

\xc2\xb7 Must have valid Comercial Driver\'s License and meet the qualifications of the fleet safety program. CDL class A preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Strictly adhere to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

\xc2\xb7 Have the willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

\xc2\xb7 Wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and / or MSHA.

\xc2\xb7 Be at least age 18 years of age due to nature of working environment.

Education/Experience

\xc2\xb7 Two year certificate from college or technical school preferred.

\xc2\xb7 Extensive experience in truck and / or heavy equipment maintenance and repair, including diesels, hydraulic systems and electrical systems.
