We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel/Heavy Equipment Road Technician to join our team. This role involves traveling to client sites to perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of heavy equipment and diesel engines. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities:

Travel to client locations to inspect and repair heavy equipment, including excavators, wheel loaders, bulldozers, forestry equipment and other machinery. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using computerized testing equipment. Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, lubrication, and part replacements. Interpret diagnostic test results accurately and develop effective repair plans. Maintain detailed records of services performed and parts used. Ensure all work complies with company standards, manufacturer standards and safety regulations.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in diesel mechanics or related field preferred. Valid Class B CDL driver's license with a clean driving record. Minimum of 5 years of experience as a diesel mechanic or heavy equipment technician. Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and heavy equipment systems. Strong understanding of hydraulic and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics. Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
