Job Summary:
We are seeking a Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting vehicles, such as buses, trucks, and other heavy equipment, using a heavy-duty wrecker.
Qualifications:
Clean and Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
Previous experience operating heavy-duty wreckers or similar equipment
Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures
Excellent driving record
Ability to work in various weather conditions
Strong communication and customer service skills
Responsibilities:
Drive and operate a heavy-duty wrecker to transport vehicles to designated locations safely
Secure vehicles properly to the wrecker to prevent damage during transport
Follow all safety regulations and procedures while operating the wrecker
Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
Perform routine maintenance on the wrecker to ensure it is in good working condition
Physical Requirements:
Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various outdoor environments
Stamina to work long hours and weekends when necessary
Good hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness
Preferred Qualifications:
Training or certification in heavy equipment operation
Experience in towing and recovery operations
Knowledge of basic vehicle mechanics
