Responsibilities

Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems, including transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, and HVAC systems. Perform routine maintenance on heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive vehicles. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Conduct vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards. Interpret schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues effectively. Operate various types of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, and forklift trucks as needed. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain a clean and organized work environment while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Proven experience as a Diesel Technician or similar role in automotive or heavy equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in diesel engine repair, automotive diagnostics, brake repair, alignment, suspension work, shocks & struts, tire service, and assembly tasks. Familiarity with dealership practices is preferred but not required. Experience with industrial equipment operation and maintenance is a plus. Ability to lift heavy objects as required for repairs (heavy lifting). Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Electrical experience is beneficial for troubleshooting electrical systems in vehicles. Soldering skills are an advantage for certain repair tasks. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team environment.
