Job Description

SUMMARY: Operate heater truck on oilfield locations.



LOCATION: North Dakota



ROTATION SCHEDULE: 20 days on, 10 days off



PAY: $28 to $34 per hour; 80-98 hours per week; $50,000 to $75,000 for the 5-to-6-month heating season!



Freedom has served the Bakken for over 12 years, and we're looking for heater operators for the '25-'26 heating season. The nature of this work is seasonal, but there may be opportunities for year-round employment for highly skilled, reliable operators!

RESPONSIBILITIES:



Operate pump and burner for heating fluids

Observe equipment gauges, indicators and hand signals to monitor job activities and conditions

Carry and lay out hoses from the truck to the tanks, connect and disconnect hoses

Follow safe operating procedures according to specifications of jobs and equipment

Repair, maintain and adjust equipment, often using hand tools

Operate trucks in winter weather; apply tire chains to truck when needed

Perform basic vehicle maintenance tasks, such as adding oil, fuel, or radiator fluid or performing minor repairs

Obtain and submit fuel receipts, field tickets/invoices, JSA's and logs on a daily basis

Report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, or damage to the vehicles

Adhere to Freedom Oilfield Services, Inc.'s safety policies and procedures

Required to wear FRC, safety- toed boots, safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection and hard hat

Attend safety meetings

Understand proper safety precautions for handling, transporting and storing propane

Familiar with safe handling of chemicals; ability to read and understand Safety Data Sheets

Understand heater operating procedures

Understand and adhere to the safety policies and procedures at each customer's location

Other duties as assigned

SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES:



Ability to remain alert and maintain a high level of concentration, even at night

Ability to work outside in adverse weather conditions

Good interpersonal skills and customer service orientation

Good judgment and the ability to react quickly in emergency situations

Mechanical ability required for making minor repairs

Knowledge of heavy industrial service materials and tools, their proper handling, storage and preparation for the work site

Basic equipment and tool maintenance training and /or related experience

Willing to ask questions

Safety-first attitude

REQUIREMENTS:



Water heating experience in an oilfield setting preferred; other relevant oilfield experience considered

Must possess Class B CDL; current DOT medical card; understanding of hours-of-service regulations, DOT/FMCSA/CSA

Clean MVR; minimal moving violations, no DUI or careless driving within past 10 years

Must be able to pass pre-employment drug screen and background check

Must be able to work 20 days on, 10 days off

Must be able to work alternating day and night shifts; must be able to work 12-14 hour shifts

Able to: lift 50 pounds, squat, bend, turn, climb a ladder, sit for long periods, stand for long periods, work in inclement/adverse weather, work long hours including night shift, put a set of chains on a truck and other physical duties as required

Preferred training certifications: PEC/Safeland, One Basin One Way, H2S Clear
