Job Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated and upbeat individual to join our team. The Medical Biller will be responsible for accurately coding and billing medical procedures, ensuring timely reimbursement from insurance companies, and maintaining patient records. The ideal candidate will have a willingness to learn, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced medical office environment. No experience required, just the right attitude!

Responsibilities:
- Review and analyze medical records to accurately assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services using ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems
- Enter coded data into billing software or electronic health record (EHR) system
- Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations for medical procedures
- Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies electronically or by mail
- Follow up on unpaid claims, denials, or underpayments to ensure proper reimbursement
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients, and healthcare providers regarding billing inquiries or disputes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Assist with medical collections as needed

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing or coding preferred
- knowledge of medical terminology
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in coding and billing procedures
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
