GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Health Manager ensures that the health and safety needs of all children enrolled in the Head Start/Early Head Start program are consistently met. This includes promoting preventive health care, supporting families in accessing appropriate health and safety services, and ensuring adherence to all applicable Head Start Program Performance Standards, Ohio Preschool Program licensing rules and regulations, and BCESC policies and procedures. In addition, this role provides supervisory oversight to staff responsible for health-related tasks, ensuring accuracy, timely completion of requirements, and alignment with federal, state, and local expectations. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring compliance, guiding staff in best practices, and ensuring full and timely adherence to all federal Head Start health standards, documentation requirements, and deadlines.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree required; preferred in nursing or health related field.
RN or LPN preferred.
Supervisory experience preferred.
Two (2) years' experience in record management and health services.
Willingness/ability to work as a team member.
Good written and verbal communications skills.
Experience working with diverse populations.
Able to use technology to effectively manage data and information.
Able to use a variety of communication methods to build relationships.
Good organizational and time management skills.
History of good job attendance.
Valid Ohio driver's license with good driving record and daily access to a personal vehicle.
Must be free from communicable diseases.
Must pass criminal background check.
