We are in search of a responsible and dependable person for overseeing teller operations at the branch office and who works in a team environment. This position is both an individual and team contributor to following and demonstrating the very Core Values of the Credit Union in an ethical and sound manner and who performs other related member service functions.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Report to work no later than 8:45 AM- check email, teams, vault opened under dual control.
2. Committed to performing with a high level of respect and integrity, is comfortable in the daily operations and is a "go to" person for members and co-workers, promoting positive behavior- zero negativity.
3. Full knowledge of our products and services to educate our members on the benefits and features and how they may simplify their financial life, making it easier to do business with us.
4. Opening any new accounts, handle member problems inhouse/phone, and instant issue requests.
5. Oversee teller operations at the Branch office by assigning work, answering questions, solving problems, and helping with complex transactions with positive attitude.
6. Responsible for ordering currency from the Federal Reserve, overseeing vault cash and maintain accurate dual control logs of transactions. Verify cash shipment with Teller II , weekly balancing of branch vault and ATM balancing in rotation with Teller II/Manager.
7. Implement policies and procedures as established by the CEO, BOD, Branch Manager or Sr Head Teller. Ensure that tellers understand and follow policies and procedures relating to their work areas.
8. Provide on-the-job training to new tellers. Provide training to tellers on new products and services and changes in processes and operations.
9. Serves as a teller as needed. Performs routine member transactions, including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, loan/visa payments, cash advances, check cashing and transfers.
10. Participates and actively promotes Credit Union promotions/cross-sell and explain services offered by the Credit Union.
11. Schedule branch staff to ensure adequate coverage during operating hours.
12. Performs and helps at other branch locations as necessary.
13. Evaluate job performance of employees to ensure quality of work and service to members. Perform quarterly evaluations on Branch Tellers. Recommend disciplinary action in accordance with established policies.
14. Manage CD and IRA issues at the branch. Ensure staff understands procedures for opening, rollover, transfer, etc. Assist staff with questions and problems.
15. Assist employees finding errors when out, balancing cash and checks.
16. Responsible for weekly surprise balancing of a teller drawer and to stay at end of day until all tellers are balanced.
17. Monthly verification of dormant teller drawers
18. Monthly board reports to Sr Head Teller.
19. Monitor office activity, including member transactions, volume, teller errors, etc.
20. Monitor workflow and individual workload in teller area, making adjustments when necessary.
21. Maintain log of teller operations, transactions, overages, shortages, and prepare associated reports
22. Responsible for opening and closing procedures (dual control of Vault and ATM, open and lock doors, lights on and off- Lobby and Drive thru. Certain tasks can be delegated but responsible to make sure they are completed.

Pay: $18.00 - $19.00 per hour
