Head Teller (cash Handling Experience Required)

Job Description

CCFCU is seeking a highly motivated and dependable individual with a confident, positive attitude and a strong eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment. The Head Bank Teller plays a critical leadership role within the branch by overseeing the teller line's daily operations, mentoring staff, and ensuring excellent member service.

Primary Responsibilities:



Lead, direct, and support teller staff to ensure all daily transactions and tasks are completed accurately and efficiently. Perform all teller duties including cash handling, ATM balancing, and vault management. Ensure cash buy/sell transactions are conducted securely and in accordance with internal policies. Monitor teller cash drawers and vaults for accuracy and compliance with closing guidelines. Promote a team-focused, service-driven environment that enhances the member experience. Serve as a liaison between members and the credit union by recognizing member needs and recommending appropriate financial products including savings accounts, IRAs, and electronic services. Support the Branch Service Manager by welcoming walk-in members, facilitating lobby transactions, and referring members to the Loan Call Center as appropriate. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional teller area.

Training & Schedule:


Training will be primarily hands-on and on-the-job, requiring a high level of initiative, self-motivation, and willingness to engage in continuous learning. Some after-hours availability may be required for meetings and training sessions related to member service and staff development.

Standard Hours:



Monday-Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 4:45 PM Thursday-Friday: 8:15 AM - 5:45 PM Some Saturdays and occasional evenings required for training and volunteer events

Qualifications:



Proficiency in MS Office Suite Strong multi-tasking, problem-solving, and communication skills Flexible to work at other branch locations as needed Excellent teamwork and customer service abilities Physical capability to bend, squat, twist, kneel, and lift up to 25 lbs

Education & Experience Requirements:



High school diploma or equivalent required Some college preferred, but not required Minimum of 2 years service experience.
