Job Summary
Supports the ERSEA Manager in completing enrollment, recruitment, selection, eligibility and attendance for Friends of Children and Families (FOCAF) Head Start and Early Head Start; performs related work as required.
Essential Functions
Participates in activities related to eligibility, recruitment, selection, enrollment, and attendance.
Reviews data for accuracy, deficiencies, or errors, correct any incompatibilities.
Effective customer service including the ability to listen, give clear communication, positive body language and provide program purpose.
Communicates and collaborates effectively with the family to accurately identify eligibility to the program, including fact-checking and attention to details.
Proficient with basic mathematical skills needed to determine income eligibility.
Researches and obtains additional information for incomplete documentation.
Maintains and archives eligibility documentation.
Inputs customer data and numerical information from source documents into program database.
Directs and/or provides support services for all children and staff working with families to effectively transition children from Early Head Start to Head Start.
Serves as a resource to staff and parents on family support services and ERSEA.
Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with co-workers, children, families, service professionals, community groups and the general public.
Keeps immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed.
Responds to questions and comments in a courteous and timely manner.
Occasionally, is required to travel to FOCAF Centers and various locations to complete recruitment and enrollment.
Provides clerical support.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification
One (1) year experience in community services, social work, family practice, or related field; or
Any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge, skills and demonstrated abilities necessary to perform the work.
Must pass an enhanced criminal background check that meets required state, federal, and FOCAF Head Start standards.
Must pass drug test and submit to random drug and/or alcohol testing.
* Must pass a Health Physical Screen and TB test.
