Job Description
Head Start Assistant Instructor: Watsontown, PA Full-time position available in our Head Start program working with children ages 3-4. This position works in the Head Start classroom located at the Watsontown Children\'s Center Watsontown, PA. Hourly rate is $11.00 12.00 hour depending on qualifications working 8 hours per day over 207 days following a school year schedule. This is a non-exempt position offering excellent benefits including medical, dental, vision insurance; retirement options including Pennsylvania Public School Employees Retirement System (PSERS) and life insurance options. Education and skills required include: High School diploma/equivalent and possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) or must obtain the CDA within two (2) years of employment; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, flexibility to accommodate a changing caseload, and a professional attitude are required; Must have an interest in and concern for children and their families and some experience dealing with children and/or families.
