Job Description

Long Branch Lumber Company is looking for a head saw operator for our sawmill located in Ehrhardt, SC. This position requires someone responsible, who has critical thinking skills, and is familiar with working in a fast paced production environment.

Applicants must have reliable transportation, and be capable of working 40hrs per week.

Must be capable of efficient operation of the head saw to produce lumber and cants.

Must be capable of taking a leading role for employees on the production line to ensure lumber orders are cut and processed efficiently.

Special attention to detail, ensuring that material produced is precise and accurate.

Ability to identify problems, conduct routine maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of saw machinery to maximize uptime and performance.

Ability to operate front end loaders safely for material handling and loading/unloading raw materials or finished products.

Maintain a clean, organized work area adhering to safety standards while adhering to manufacturing best practices.

Must have more than 1 year of previous sawmilling experience

Recommended experience operating a headsaw

You will recieve on-site training for our specific mill, but must have a background in operation of sawmill equipment.
