Position Overview



We're looking for a dynamic and motivated

Head Pickleball Professional

to lead instruction, player development, and programming at Aces. This role combines high-level coaching expertise with community energy--perfect for a pro who loves building programs, mentoring players, and creating an unforgettable pickleball experience.

You'll oversee all instructional offerings, manage assistant pros, and set the standard for exceptional teaching and member engagement.

Key Responsibilities



Player Development & Instruction



Design and deliver engaging private, semi-private, and group lessons for all levels--from new players to advanced competitors. Develop progressive training programs to ensure steady player improvement and enjoyment. Provide DUPR evaluations, feedback, and personalized development plans.

Program Leadership



Recruit, train, and mentor a team of coaches to ensure consistent, high-quality instruction. Plan and execute clinics, open plays, leagues, interclub, socials, tournaments and pickleball engaging activities Maintain updated class schedules, court calendars, and communication channels. Help drive membership growth by introducing potential new members to Aces programs, showcasing our community experience, and encouraging existing members to re-sign and stay engaged. Collaborate with management and marketing to align programming with Aces' overall goals and community events.

Community Engagement



Create an inviting environment that encourages repeat play and social connection on and off the court. Lead Open Play sessions and mixers to grow participation and identify coaching opportunities. Foster relationships that strengthen player retention and enhance club culture.

Operations



Support court and equipment care, enforce court etiquette and guest policies, and help coordinate special events. Track participation data and help shape programming based on player interest and skill trends. Oversee all financial aspects of pickleball operations, ensuring that revenue is captured accurately across all sales channels (POS, online bookings, memberships, tournaments, and lessons) Provide weekly and monthly reports to management detailing participation, revenue, and profitability by program type. Must be able to stand, walk, and remain active on courts for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds independently

Qualifications



DUPR rating of 4.5+

(required); 5.0+ preferred. Proven experience coaching players across all levels, ideally in both group and private lesson formats. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to mentor assistant pros. Experience creating or managing structured programs, leagues, or tournaments. CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain). A passion for both competitive play and fostering a fun, inclusive community atmosphere.
Teaching certifications (e.g., USAPA, USPTR, or equivalent) are a plus but not required.
