Responsibilities of the Head Football Coach include:
Provide strategic leadership and direction for the football program
Supervise assistant football coaches and support staff: assigning work, coordinating regular staff meetings, recruiting, training, and managing employee performance
Recruit, develop, and retain quality student-athletes consistent with NCAA, CIAA, and university standards.
Promote academic success and monitor academic progress of all football student-athletes, ensuring a minimum of 50% of all football student-athletes are on the Dean's List
Develop and implement practice plans, game strategies, and player development programs.
Ensure strict adherence to NCAA, CIAA, and institutional compliance regulations.
Foster a positive team culture emphasizing discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship.
Manage the football program's budget, travel, and equipment in coordination with athletics administration.
Serve as one of the public faces of University Athletics: holding weekly press conferences, and maintaining professional communication with alumni, donors, and the media to influence the reputation of both the athletics department and the institution

Department Required Skills
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
Minimum of five (5) years of collegiate football coaching experience, including leadership or coordinator responsibilities.
Demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and a record of compliance.
Proven ability to recruit and develop student-athletes at the collegiate level.
Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education
Master's degree in Sports Management, Education, or a related field.
Prior experience as a head coach or coordinator at the NCAA level.
Demonstrated success in fostering a positive team culture emphasizing discipline, accountability, and sportsmanship.
