Summary:

Instruct and work with athletes to prepare them for competition. The Head IS Basketball Coach reports to the school principal and is responsible for the overall IS basketball program.

Responsibilities:

Leadership is to be provided by the coach in the following areas:

Coordination of all levels of the basketball team.
Development of epectations and direction of the IS basketball program Tracking of eligibility and academic progress of students. Preparation of team for competition. Teaching fundamental skills. Communication with parents, players, staff, etc. Following school district regulations and policies ####

Qualifications:

Required:

High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 21 years of age, or older Communicate (read, write, and speak) in English. Completed and submitted BVSD online application.

Preferred:

At least 3 years of coaching eperience. Knowledge of all aspects of school athletic/activity programming.
Proven leadership qualities and successful eperience in working with middle school students.
