QUALIFICATIONS


+ Proven quality educator who has demonstrated success as a coach.


+ Purpose-based educator with a focus on District 196 guiding principles.


+ Prior coaching experience with young adults.


+ Proven technical and instructional expertise in Boys Soccer skills.


+ Evidence of being able to have a consistent and ongoing connection with athletes in the program to create lifelong relationships


+ Proven skills in organizing individual/team sports including working successfully with young adults, parents, and school administration.


+ Possess outstanding communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide positive leadership and productive partnerships with parents, the community and associated programs


+ Evidence of being able to build strong positive relationships with high school students and staff


+ Ability to develop training programs individualized to the needs and experience of a diverse group of athletes ranging from beginning players to those with extensive training experience.


+ Proven skills in developing effective, challenging and differentiated practice plans.


+ Proven successful ability in working with and developing a coaching staff.


+ Understanding of adolescent development and an ability to communicate effectively with and support young adult athletes.


+ Desire to participate in continuing coaching education and hold current or willing to get the head coaching licensure or certification.





RESPONSIBILITIES
+ Provide leadership for the Boys Soccer Program.


+ Develop relationships with all stakeholders to better develop life skills in all members of the program


+ Organization and implementation of team practices.


+ Implement and be active in the strength and conditioning program for in-season training and out-of-season training.


+ Open communication with parents.


+ Open communication with athletic directors.


+ Athlete development and program promotion.


+ Instruction of athletes in fundamentals and techniques.


+ Follow the rules and expectation of the NFHS, MSHSL, South Suburban Conference, District 196 Schools .


+ Program support for student-athletes for academic progress and commitment to athletic improvement.


+ Management of program budget.
