We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for innovative menu development. This role involves overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and managing staff to maintain a high level of service in a fast-paced, fine dining environment.
Duties
Lead and supervise the kitchen team, including chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
Oversee menu planning and development, incorporating current culinary trends and customer preferences
Manage food production processes to ensure consistent quality and presentation of dishes
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain high standards of cleanliness and sanitation
Control inventory levels, manage food costs, and oversee procurement to optimize resources
Coordinate with the catering department for special events and large-scale functions
Monitor kitchen operations during shifts to ensure smooth workflow and timely service
Train staff on food handling, preparation techniques, and safety procedures
Maintain excellent customer service standards by ensuring the quality of food served meets expectations
Requirements
Proven experience in Italian cuisine with strong culinary skills and creativity in menu development
Supervising experience in a high-volume restaurant or hospitality setting
Extensive background in food production, food safety, and kitchen management
Knowledge of inventory management, control procedures, and cost optimization strategies
Strong leadership abilities with excellent team management skills
Background in dietary department operations or specialized dietary needs is a plus
Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional communication skills with a focus on team collaboration and customer satisfaction
Culinary certification or relevant hospitality degree is desirable but not mandatory
Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
