We are in search of an HBSS/ESS Engineer/Administrator to join our Defense Enclave Services cybersecurity team at the customer site at Fort Meade, MD.

Our Opportunity:
Leidos has an exciting opportunity for an HBSS/ESS engineer/administrator primarily supporting DMA. In this role, a successful candidate will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) providing HBSS/ESS administration support for DMA and/or other organizations supported under the DES contract. This position provides support to the HBSS Lead in operating and maintaining McAfee/Trellix software and clients for DMA and other organizations under the DES contract. Activities that this position performs include performing systems analysis, modifying / updating systems based on results of analysis, deployment of application and tools, performing testing of deployed application and tools, and communicating updates to cybersecurity management and customers as required The HBSS/ESS engineer/administrator will also assist with automation and implementation of periodic vulnerability reporting to other tools and other organizations and coordinate with DES teams and client support teams to upgrade and enhance HBSS/ESS.

Clearance Requirement:

• Currently possess a DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI. (US Citizenship required)

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide HBSS/ESS support to DMA and other organizations supported under the DES contract
• Complete the following key functions for HBSS/ESS deployments across DMA/DES\xe2\x80\x99 areas of responsibility:
• Provide performance tuning to systems and troubleshoot HBSS/ESS components.
• Provide solution engineering support to ensure systems and components meet current and future standards.
• Install updates to McAfee/Trellix software as released and in compliance with STIG requirements.
• Deploy, maintain, and tune McAfee/Trellix clients to meet current and future standards.
• Develop / create, deploy, and manage custom HBSS/ESS signatures.
• Monitor HBSS/ESS for intrusions, failures and other issues, repair / re-engineer, as needed.
• Monitor HBSS/ESS software to ensure that the clients/servers are operational and reporting properly; test and provide software fixes, as needed.
• Ensure the environment is updated according to DoD standards and guidelines.
• Follow approved DoD, STIG standards and DoD IAVA requirements; advise / make recommendations of needed updates to cybersecurity management and client(s).
• Ensure that all systems are operating with valid licenses for all installed software.
• Maintain and troubleshoot the management systems.
• Monitor and audit configurations to ensure that unintended changes do not occur.
• Monitor the health and performance of the systems.

The successful candidate for this position is a highly motivated individual, with a strong IT security background who excels integrating, operating, and deploying security technology and solutions and interacts well with both internal teams and clients.

Must have\xe2\x80\x99s:

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree and 8+ years of related experience. Relevant experience may be substituted for education.
• 5+ years supporting all aspects of HBSS/ESS.
• Demonstrated experience with multiple network security zones, subnetting, VRFs, and VLANs.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Must have experience installing, configuring, deploying, upgrading, operating, and maintaining HBSS/ESS at an organizational or enterprise level.
• Experience developing in Bash, Perl, Shell, Powershell, SQL, D3, HTML, XML, CSS, Bash, JAVA and/or Python scripts.
• 5+ years hands-on experience implementing and administering security solutions, including developing related documentation and artifacts.
• Analytical ability, problem-solving skills, and ability to break down complex problems into actionable steps
• Experience must include a wide range of work in creating diagrams and documentation with all components that comprise IT systems including network topology.
• Excellent knowledge and experience with regard to IAM, NDR, EDR, SIEM, AI/ML, and other cybersecurity tools and related applications.
• Experience selecting effective methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria to achieve desired outcomes.
• Understanding of federal cybersecurity guidance such as FISMA NIST SP 800-37 - Guide for Applying the Risk Management Framework to Federal Information Systems: a Security Life Cycle Approach and NIST 800-137 - Information Security Continuous Monitoring (ISCM) for Federal Information Systems and Organizations.

• Must have DoD 8570 IAT-II certification.

Pay Range: Pay Range $97,500.00 - $150,000.00 - $202,500.00
