GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: Harry\xe2\x80\x99s Lakeside Scoops is an ice cream kiosk on Woodloch\xe2\x80\x99s Resort property. The operation features soft-serve ice cream (cups/cones/sundaes, shakes & floats) along with some Woodloch Novelties (ice cream sandwiches, boomer bites, etc.). HLS provides a service & products that will further enhance the enjoyment and overall experience for our guests. The HLS Supervisor demonstrates Woodloch\xe2\x80\x99s core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety of others. The Supervisor leads a team of employees whose actions/performance have a direct effect on customer experience and the WL\xe2\x80\x99s success. The cleanliness, appearance, quality of products, presentation, consistency & hospitality level of Scoops fall under the direct responsibility of the Supervisor Scoop\xe2\x80\x99s Supervisor needs to be upbeat and friendly & able to instill this same spirit into his/her team. The Supervisor will be expected to be knowledgeable and capable of performing all duties & insure the HLS staff are able to answer questions about who \xe2\x80\x9cHarry\xe2\x80\x9d is and the history of WL; the products on the menu and able to make suggestions about what a guest might enjoy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Train employees to insure HLS meets our high standards of personalized customer service & they are able to fulfill orders in an effective and efficient manner.
  • Focus on sanitation and cleanliness of exterior and interior of building including all surfaces and equipment.
  • Play the role of a working supervisor \xe2\x80\x93 will be working with employees in the operation
  • Keep products fresh by following guidelines & proper rotation / storage / ordering
  • Help to establish and enforce proper use of POS, i.e. ringing-in of sales and accept payment of goods (room charge/credit card/cash).
  • Involved with ordering & inventory. Establish daily pars / restocking, etc.
  • Help to create menu & offerings \xe2\x80\x93 allow creativity and input. Insure the menu is accurate on displays and in POS
  • Implement training and protocols for accurate and consistent preparation & service of products
  • Maintain the traditions of Woodloch\'s warm hospitality, sincere care for our guests and each other.
  • Possess effective communication skills.
  • Comply with health, safety and hygiene guidelines & regulations.
  • Be aware of & understand importance of keeping working areas and equipment clean and up to WL standards along with required & monitored testing by the Department of Agriculture.
  • Awareness and addressing as needed, the surrounding area and exterior of the building (garbage receptacles, wiping tables, picking up trash, addressing spills, etc)
  • Maintains knowledge of all offerings & products.
  • Be proficient in basic math and computer.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Ability to answer telephone in a professional manner. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with customer issues in a professional/hospitable manner. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Servesafe will be provided.
