We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Harm Reduction Program Coordinator to lead and manage our harm reduction program. This position will be responsible for coordinating our harm reduction programs in Bangor and providing support to harm reduction initiatives throughout the state. We prioritize individuals with requisite work experience, with lived experience, and who embody the values of harm reduction.
Duties
Oversee harm reduction programs in Bangor and implement reforms and improvements tailored to community needs. This work includes resource distribution at our brick and mortar locations and outreach in the greater Bangor area.
Manage program operations, including inventory, budgeting, and evaluating effectiveness to ensure continuous improvement.
Supervise staff and volunteers, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a motivated and cohesive team dedicated to harm reduction principles.
Build and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to promote the well being of program participants.
Coordinate educational workshops and training sessions on topics such as harm reduction, overdose prevention, and stigma reduction.
Oversee administrative functions including record-keeping, reporting, compliance with legal standards, and managing program documentation.
Advocate for policy changes that support harm reduction initiatives at local or regional levels while staying informed on current health research trends.
Experience
Proven experience in harm reduction programs.
Management experience
Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations, especially People Who Use Drugs.
Strong relationship management skills to collaborate with community partners and stakeholders effectively.
Experience in program management including planning, budgeting, and evaluation processes.
Knowledge of social work principles combined with an understanding of behavioral health practices related to substance use disorder prevention and treatment.
Expertise in maintaining accurate records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with applicable policies or regulations.

Pay: $62,000.00 - $69,560.00 per year
