Mission Contribution:

To ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and stewardship of the retail store through donor and customer relations, processing donated goods, quality control, to maximize profitability and increase training opportunities.


Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the Store Manager or designee is responsible for hanging apparel, transporting, and hanging apparel onto sales floor and facility security and maintenance.


Essential Functions:




Tag and size apparel and/or hang apparel onto racks by category. Assist with quality control assurance (tears, stains, wet, smelly, soiled, broken zippers, and missing buttons). Maintains accurate count with the goal of 60+ pieces per hour. Always maintains processing area in a neat and clean condition. Ensures positive donor and customer interaction by providing world class customer service. Demonstrates the principles of DURT (Donor Urgent Response Team) with every donor interaction and uses the DURT Alert system to ensure all donors receive world class customer service. Adheres to all Goodwill personnel policies and procedures. Follows safety and security practices including reporting safety hazards and injuries to the Manager on Duty. Attends in-service related training as assigned. Performs other duties as assigned by Management. Responsible for performing assigned duties within the framework of our Guiding Principles: We are committed to providing world-class customer service to all our customers. We are committed to a clean, neat, organized, and safe facility. We are committed to keeping all we offer fresh and relevant, including a store with full and fresh inventory. Donors and shoppers should be greeted in 10 seconds. Every time we touch a donation, something good should happen to it. All donations should be processed within 24 hours. If you have a pile, you have a problem. This applies to backrooms, desks, productions areas and warehouses. Hard goods should be priority processed. Material handling equipment is for moving donations, not for storage or merchandising. Don't fall in love with your donations...rotation is critical to success. Donor value and Transaction value should increase. Profits or ROI should Increase.

Minimum Qualifications:




Ability to read, write, and communicate verbally. Must be able to work independently. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with managers, team members, customers, and donors. Ability to work within a team situation. Ability to maintain a positive, friendly attitude.
Ability to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation.

Able to lift, push, pull, carry, or otherwise move up to forty (40) pounds regularly without support. For weight over forty (40) pounds, request additional team member assistance as needed.
