Overview

We are seeking a proactive and versatile Maintenance Person/Porter to join our dynamic facilities team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the functionality, safety, and appearance of our property and equipment. Your expertise will ensure that all aspects of building operations run smoothly, creating a welcoming environment for customers, visitors, and staff alike. Duties

Perform general repairs and maintenance across the facility, including plumbing, carpentry, electrical work, and mechanical systems. Conduct painting projects to enhance the aesthetic appeal of common areas and units. Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues. Assist with facilities maintenance tasks, including cleaning, trash and snow removal, and ensuring safety protocols are followed. Supervise or assist with small-scale projects, coordinating with vendors or contractors when necessary. Support customer service efforts by responding promptly to resident/tenant requests or concerns related to building upkeep or repairs. Maintain safety standards by inspecting equipment, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with health regulations. Manage inventory of tools and supplies needed for daily operations and repairs.

Skills

Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and technical diagrams. Proficiency in electrical work, including troubleshooting using tools like ohmmeters. Excellent customer service skills with clear communication in English. Facilities maintenance experience across residential and commercial properties. Supervising experience demonstrating leadership in managing projects or teams. Familiarity with property management software for work order management and record keeping. Knowledge of manufacturing processes can be advantageous for certain repair tasks. Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
