Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance tasks including fixing leaks, repairing fixtures, and addressing general wear and tear across the premises Conduct inspections to identify potential issues before they escalate, ensuring safety and operational efficiency Install, assemble, and repair appliances, or equipment as needed to support facility operations Maintain a clean and organized workspace while managing tools and supplies efficiently Respond promptly to repair requests from staff or management, prioritizing urgent issues to minimize downtime Assist with small-scale construction projects or renovations to improve facility aesthetics and functionality Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and building codes by following proper procedures Keep detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used for accountability

Skills

Proven experience as a maintenance person or in a similar maintenance role with a broad skill set in repairs and installations Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance Ability to troubleshoot issues quickly and implement effective solutions with minimal supervision Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and report on maintenance activities Physical stamina to perform manual tasks including lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various environments Familiarity with safety protocols and proper use of tools and equipment Nice-to-have skills include certification in electrical or plumbing work, or experience with HVAC systems
