Duties

Perform a wide range of hair services including cutting, coloring, styling, and hair extensions to meet client preferences and enhance their natural beauty Provide specialized treatments such as eyelash extensions, hair threading, and makeup application to create complete beauty looks Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness in all work areas following industry regulations Use salon software systems like Vagaro to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process payments efficiently Offer expert advice on hair care routines, retail products, and upselling opportunities to maximize client satisfaction and salon revenue Assist with front desk responsibilities including greeting clients, managing bookings, and handling retail sales with excellent communication skills Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in hair styling, retail math, and customer service to foster a collaborative environment Stay current with industry trends by participating in ongoing training on topics such as color theory, straight razor techniques, and nail care

Skills

Proven expertise in hair styling techniques including cutting, coloring, and styling for diverse hair types Experience with advanced services such as hair extensions and eyelash extensions Knowledge of salon management software like Vagaro for scheduling and client management Strong understanding of sanitation practices to ensure a safe environment for clients and staff Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and build rapport with clients Ability to upsell retail products effectively while providing personalized recommendations based on client needs Competence in retail sales math to achieve sales targets and maximize profitability Familiarity with nail care services can be an added advantage for offering comprehensive beauty solutions Capable of mentoring team members on professional techniques and customer engagement strategies
