We are seeking a passionate and energetic Gymnastics Coach/Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for teaching gymnastics skills, fostering a positive environment for students, and promoting physical fitness and safety. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with children and young athletes, helping them develop their skills while ensuring a fun and safe experience. Prior experience in sports coaching, teaching, or childcare is highly valued, along with a background in martial arts, swimming, cheerleading, or other physical activities. The position is suitable for individuals with a strong interest in physical education and youth development.
Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging gymnastics lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
Ensure the safety of all participants by enforcing proper techniques and safety protocols
Provide instruction in related activities such as cheerleading, climbing, martial arts (Judo, Karate), swimming, or other sports as needed
Manage behavior and maintain discipline during classes to create a positive learning environment
Demonstrate proper use of equipment and assist students in developing their skills progressively
Foster teamwork, confidence, and sportsmanship among participants
Communicate effectively with parents or guardians regarding student progress and safety concerns
Assist in organizing events or competitions related to gymnastics or other physical activities
Skills
Experience working with children and students in a coaching or teaching capacity
Strong knowledge of gymnastics techniques and safety standards
Background in sports coaching such as cheerleading, basketball, climbing, or martial arts (Judo, Karate) is preferred
Excellent behavior management skills to handle diverse student needs and maintain a positive environment
Ability to teach physical education concepts clearly and effectively
Lifeguard experience is a plus, especially if swimming instruction is involved
Skills in childcare, teaching physical education, or health club operations are advantageous
Ability to motivate students and foster a love for physical activity and fitness
Good communication skills to collaborate with team members and engage with students' families
