Who We're Looking For:

The St. James is hiring

Part-Time Gymnastics Coaches and Assistant Coaches

for our Springfield, VA location. We're looking for individuals who enjoy working with athletes of all skill levels--from beginners to advanced--and are passionate about creating a supportive, motivating environment that fosters growth, goal-setting, and a love for gymnastics. This position reports to the Director of Gymnastics.

Responsibilities

Coach and instruct athletes individually and in groups using proper techniques and equipment Assist the Director and coaching staff with athlete supervision during meets, showcases, and events Lead or support training sessions for both boys and girls Help maintain training equipment and supplies Build positive relationships with athletes, families, and members of The St. James community Prioritize the safety of all members, guests, and staff

Qualifications

Minimum

2 years of coaching experience

(1 year for Assistant Coaches); leadership experience preferred Level 3 coaching and tumbling experience are a plus Strong work ethic and organizational skills Excellent customer service, verbal, and written communication skills Must pass a background check and drug screening Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in sports and wellness
