Job Summary:

Gunsmith/Machining Assistant

helps our gunsmith and machine operators by preparing materials, maintaining a clean and safe workspace, and performing secondary tasks like finishing, and basic machine operation. Key duties include prepping materials, cleaning equipment, inspecting finished parts, and assisting with setup, all while following safety protocols to ensure efficient shop operations.

? Assist gunsmiths and machinists with prepping and producing gun parts and supporting production tasks.

? Handle materials and tools by lifting, transporting, and supplying raw materials to designated workstations.

? Prepare manufacturing materials by measuring, cutting, cleaning, and readying finished products for delivery.

? Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment by sweeping, disposing of debris, and arranging tools and parts.

? Perform basic machine maintenance, including cleaning machines and checking oil levels.

? Operate primary and secondary machinery at a basic level under supervision.

? Support quality control by assisting in inspecting and measuring finished parts to ensure they meet standards.

? Collaborate closely with gunsmith and team members to meet production goals and communicate any issues promptly.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

? Receptive to training and eager to develop skills

? Attention to detail: Essential for quality control and performing tasks accurately.

? Mechanical aptitude: A basic understanding of mechanical tools and processes is helpful.

? Ability to follow instructions: Must be able to follow directions from supervisors and experienced machinists.

? Physical ability: Capable of performing tasks that involve manual labor, such as lifting and standing for extended periods.

? Teamwork: Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with others.

? Safety consciousness: A strong commitment to following all safety protocols and procedures.

Pay: From $37,000.00 per year
