Your Role:

The Sr. Guidewire Engineer is responsible for developing new and/or modifying existing information technology applications that facilitate and enable business initiatives, growth requirements and help with-efficiency goals. The role will designing, developing, and modifying computer programs, as well as debugging software solutions, while assessing the application for root causes for defects. The subject matter expert will provide technical consulting to management, business analysts and technical associates while working in coordination with the architecture team!

Your work: (Essential responsibilities)

  • Responsible for the design, development, testing, and support of application improvements for the Claims Administration System (Guidewire Claim Center-based application).
  • Demonstrate in-depth, hands-on knowledge and experience with Guidewire Claim Center 10 including configurations and integrations
  • Well versed with Guidewire recommended guidelines and the standard methodologies
  • Capable of developing comprehensive integration solutions.
  • Designs and develops test plans for unit testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing
  • Supports production deployments and automation, actively lead monitoring, job control, and production support, and participates in and provides support for production issues related to the Guidewire solution
  • Knowledgeable about emerging and evolving technologies and approaches
  • Understands business and customer requirements that drive the analysis and design of technical solutions
  • Reliable technical professional that can handle job responsibilities autonomously
What would make us excited about you?
  • Bachelor\'s degree in related area (Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering) or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 \xe2\x80\x93 5 years of systems development and Claims Line of Business experience crafting application solutions for multiple types of systems, client users, and/or units across an organization
  • 5+ years of technical experience in enterprise-level application design, execution, and software deployments
  • Hands-on development expertise on Guidewire Claim Center 10 with configuration and integration
  • Skilled in the use of applicable programming languages for the areas of developing code for, to include but are not limited to Java, SQL, and Guidewire Claim-Center
  • Skilled in application design and demonstrated ability to understand new technical concepts and apply them
  • Knowledge of application development and support
  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to multi-task and balance conflicting priorities
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills to include documentation
  • Ability to collaborate with peers and project teams on sophisticated projects and issues progress and provide status reports to management

The national average salary range for this position is $103,770-$115,300. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full [salary range] [hourly rate range] for this position across all the states we hire in is $93,420-$138,400. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 8% of eligible pay

Please note we are hiring for this role remote anywhere in the United States with the exception of California, Hawaii and Alaska.
