Overview



We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Guest Service Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring a positive experience. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to efficiently handle various tasks.

Responsibilities



Guest check-in and check-out

: Welcome guests, verify registration information, and provide room keys

Guest services

: Answer questions, provide information about hotel services and amenities, and make recommendations for dining and entertainment

Reservations

: Book and register rooms, manage reservations and cancellations, and make room adjustments

Payments

: Process payments, handle cash, and prepare room bills

Guest information

: Maintain guest records and accounts, and keep hotel data confidential

Hotel operations

: Coordinate with other hotel departments, arrange maintenance repairs, and stock supplies as needed

Guest issues

: Resolve guest complaints and concerns, and follow up with guests after issues are resolved

Front desk area

: Keep the front desk area tidy and organized. Ensure that all areas of the front desk are clean, organized, and welcoming.

Software

: Use hotel management software for check-ins, check-outs, and guest information

Experience



Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers, some of whom will require patience, tact, and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information, and resolve conflicts. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, to engage with diverse clientele. Ability to access and accurately input information using a moderately complex computer system. Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergencies. The individual must possess the following knowledge, skills, and abilities to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the job's essential functions, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skills and abilities.
