Reporting to the Vice President - Safety and Security, the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC)
Analyst/Operator/Tech - Event Manager is responsible for analytical, operational, and technical duties within the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) as well as managing events. The individual will
monitor security threats, manage physical security systems, coordinate response activities, and
administer security technologies to support global campus operations.Analysis - Monitor security threats and operational risks, prepare threat analyses and intelligence reports. Execute the various core functions of the GSOC to include incident recognition/escalation, intelligence analysis, emergency response, and physical security. Operations - Respond to security incidents, manage alarms, access control systems, and coordinate with emergency services. Executing safety and security procedures, adhering to site-specific policies, and facilitating emergency response activities as needed. Monitor alarms across all campuses and respond promptly to all incoming requests for assistance. Actively assess and address potential risks, threats, or incidents that may impact the safety/well-being of students/associates or business continuity of a campus. Technology - Security system programming and administration, service ticket and work order management, security database maintenance, and internal security stakeholders. Troubleshooting and escalation. Supports the security integrations landscape by managing technical and operational components of security systems. This role ensures seamless communication with stakeholders and contributes to the stability and optimization of physical and digital security infrastructures. Event Management - Plan, coordinate, and oversee security for campus and corporate events. Develop event security plans, including crowd management, access control, and emergency response protocols. Liaise with internal departments, external partners, and local law enforcement to ensure safe event execution. Manage vendor relationships and ensure appropriate staffing, technology, and physical security resources are in place. Conduct after-action reviews and produce post-event reports to identify lessons learned and best practices. Coordinate resources to support executive protection operations, including advance planning, logistics, and real-time monitoring during executive movements and events. Serve as the central point of contact for executive protection teams, ensuring communication, intelligence sharing, and deployment of GSOC resources to mitigate potential risks. Oversee protective support by integrating GSOC monitoring capabilities with on-the-ground executive protection details, ensuring seamless coordination and rapid response. Manage scheduling, travel security planning, and risk assessments to enhance the safety of executives and high-profile visitors across all campuses and corporate offices.

Responsibilities:

Monitor & Incident Response + Monitor and investigate access control and CCTV system alarms and respond appropriately.
+ Detect, analyze, and respond to incidents in a calm and orderly manner.
+ Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation and after-action reporting.
+ Sending emergency mass notifications to employees in the event of a crisis, using a mass
+ communication system
+ Proactively monitor physical access and video surveillance alarms within the respective
+ systems and be able to execute appropriate response protocols in accordance with
+ approved operation procedures
+ Monitor and report after-hours facilities issues to the correct teams.
+ Monitor and respond to 911 and duress alerts in accordance with operating procedures.
+ Ability to operate within a GSOC environment, monitoring a video wall along with multiple desk screens and utilizing a variety of tools that range from access control and alarm monitoring systems to various business intelligence sources such as open-source media, Internet, and in-house tools.
+ Provide support and participate in crisis mitigation (IMT)
Security Systems & Technology + Manage the start-to-end process for granting physical access to campuses. Includes
+ interfacing with associates via phone and email, granting and removing access within the access control database, and troubleshooting access problems.
+ Monitor functionality of all global security hardware, platforms and applications and alert system administrators of system interruptions.
+ Provide backup coverage for all sites supporting continuous operation of SPOE.
+ Lead end-to-end implementation of multiple projects.
+ Refine security systems and ensure consistent configurations and standards.
+ Performing routine maintenance on systems, troubleshooting malfunctions, and repairing or replacing faulty equipment.
+ Integrating different security systems and ensuring they function together.
+ Keeping records of installations, repairs, and systems configurations.
+ Testing security systems to ensure they are functioning correctly and meeting standards.
+ Conduct site surveys to assess security needs and recommend proper solutions.
+ Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues related to security systems.
+ Collaborate with Security SME for networks, systems, and software.
+ Oversee contractors and integrators during installation and repair work.
+ Find and propose innovative technologies to enhance security programs.
+ Define and monitor performance metrics to evaluate security effectiveness.
+ Function as an escalation point for technical issues within the security team.
+ Perform security and vulnerability assessments as directed.
+ Maintain comprehensive documentation of systems, projects, and procedures.
+ Conduct training sessions and take part in developing training materials.
+ Perform compliance assessments pre-/post-installation and regularly thereafter.
Communication & Notification + Serve as a communication hub for notifications.
+ Monitor phone and email communications from associates/students reporting suspicious activities.
+ Provide excellent customer service to associates by conducting safety and security procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
+ Create, disseminate, and archive all "BOLO - Be on the Lookout."
+ Ability to respond in a calm, organized, and professional manner.
+ Serve as the communication hub for all campuses.
+ Write and edit client-specific reports, covering a broad threat spectrum, upon request.
+ Present project documentation and updates clearly to stakeholders.
Intelligence, Analysis & Reporting + Monitor and assess local and global security events and communicate impact.
+ Monitor social media via open source and paid subscriptions for potential risks to sites.
+ Support internal investigations when requested by producing supporting access and video evidence.
+ Reviewing all incident reports for all twelve campuses.
+ Assist in all concerns that pertain to safety and security for all locations.
+ Detect, analyze, and alert of critical incidents, which may impact the campuses - these may range from extreme weather conditions, political instability, crime, terror, to technical failures.
+ Incorporate incident analysis, threat mitigation strategies and recommendations to help constituent members maintain continuity of operations, keep abreast of key threats, and plan for contingency solutions.
+ Produce insightful analysis and provide recommendations for action to mitigate potential security threats.
+ Conduct extensive data mining and comprehensive open-source research daily and as needed, using a broad range of tools and resources.
+ Track current events in real time and provide situational awareness and lessons learned.
Event Management + Plan, coordinate, and execute security measures for university and corporate events,
+ ensuring safe and seamless operations.
+ Develop event-specific security plans addressing access control, crowd management, transportation, and emergency response.
+ Coordinate directly with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and law enforcement to ensure adequate staffing, equipment, and technology support.
+ Oversee on-site security operations during events, acting as the central point of command for incident response.
+ Support executive protection missions by coordinating logistics, monitoring threats, and integrating GSOC resources with on-the-ground protective teams.
+ Conduct pre-event risk assessments and post-event reviews, providing detailed reports and recommendations for continuous improvement.
+ Maintain and manage vendor contracts and service providers related to events and executive security.
Event Security & Management + Coordinate with event organizers, campus departments, and external vendors to develop security plans at all campus and corporate events.
+ Ensure security technology, staffing, and physical equipment are standardized and scaled based on event risk and type.
+ Conduct virtual and onsite risk assessments at all external venues.
+ Manage event security officers throughout events and ensure effective communication is maintained and monitored via the GSOC.

Required Education, Certifications & Licensures:

Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Emergency Management, Intelligence Studies, Information Technology, or a related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g., military, law enforcement, or corporate security background) may be considered in lieu of a degree. Strong understanding of crisis management, threat assessment, and incident response protocols. Familiarity with security systems, including video surveillance, access control, alarm monitoring, mass notification, and intelligence platforms. Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to brief executive leadership clearly and concisely. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify trends, assess risks, and recommend proactive solutions. High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling sensitive or confidential information. Ability to work non-traditional hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required in a 24/7 operational environment. Willingness to travel occasionally for training, site assessments, or crisis response support. Minimum 2 years of experience: + GSOC Operator

Computer troubleshooting and repair. Experience managing service tickets and working with cross-functional teams. Working knowledge of SQL databases and computer networking. Strong understanding of access control, intrusion detection, and surveillance systems. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and timelines. Experience with Office365.

Preferred Education, Certifications & Licensures:

Coursework or certifications in Security Operations Management, Threat Intelligence, Event Security Planning, or Physical Security Systems Administration. FEMA/NIMS or ICS certifications (IS-100, IS-200, IS-700, IS-800). Experience with Genetec, Axis, and DMP is strongly preferred. Certified OCAT, PATH, MOAB Genetic Technician Certified CompTIA A+ Specialized training such as formal military/law enforcement intelligence analysis Corporate intelligence, military intelligence, or government intelligence agency experience

Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to oversee multiple events simultaneously. Expertise in security operations, access control, and incident response protocols. Familiarity with protective intelligence and executive protection requirements. Ability to collaborate effectively with law enforcement, emergency services, and external partners. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of briefing executives and coordinating cross-functional teams. Technical proficiency in GSOC platforms, security systems, and event management tools. Ability to work under pressure, adapt quickly to evolving situations, and make sound decisions in real time.
