This position is at G&S Bar and Wire in Wooster, OH, where we produce metal materials for medical and aerospace applications. You will help us do this by manufacturing, or supporting the manufacture, of high-quality products. Our
machine operators
are responsible for drawing wire by processing material through dies to achieve a smaller diameter. Our environment is not the typical assembly-line factory. You will be making a specialty product!
Work-life balance: Monday - Friday schedules; we rarely have mandatory overtime.
40 hours of Paid-Time Off and Holiday pay available on your first day. You'll accrue an additional 8 hours each month in your first year and, beginning your 2nd year, 120 hours per year.
We've never had a layoff.
Eligible for an additional $2.00 per hour shift premium.
Employee appreciation events throughout the year.
2nd shift hours are 3:00pm - 11:30pm. You will likely train on 1st shift.
What we expect from you:
The ability to work independently.
Attention to detail and the ability to check your own work for accuracy.
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Average weights in production range from 10-25 lbs. Maximum weights may exceed 75-80 lbs. on occasion.
Substantial reaching, bending, and pulling during the shift.
Must be able to access all areas of operation, including second floors.
Standing/walking most of the shift.
